Welcome to the new school year at Noordgesig Primary School—a place where rich Soweto heritage meets forward-thinking education. It is my privilege to lead a school community that continues to grow in both numbers and spirit. Over the past few years, our enrolment has been steadily rising, and our dedicated teaching staff has expanded alongside it. Our team now supports more than 2,200 learners, providing care, guidance, and excellence in education—even with large classes of about 37 learners per teacher.

We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where every child thrives. That means not only learning in well-equipped classrooms—but also being grounded in our community’s culture and values. Together, we’ve seen inspiring support from local initiatives—like the heartfelt school-shoe donations that uplifted our learners’ confidence and reminded us of the power of ubuntu.

As principal, my vision for Noordgesig is that every child becomes a confident, curious, and compassionate learner—rooted in our heritage and ready to flourish in the world beyond our school gates. Let this be a year filled with curiosity, creativity, and heart.
